Known also as Community Center for the Performing Arts, Wow plays host to little-heard and upcoming bands in Eugene. Past performances include acts by Toshi Reagon, Primus, Ani di Franco, The Queers, and also Bob Dylan. The venue has a reputation for hosting energetic shows and fans are rarely disappointed. Most shows are sold out and events can get very crowded, but die-hard fans of Wow will testify of a great time.
Sheffer Recital Hall is a grand hall located within the iconic John G. Shedd Institute for the Arts. Well-equipped with great acoustic settings and comfortable seats, the hall hosts a multitude of concerts and musical events throughout the year. Smaller than its 750-seat counterpart, the Jaqua Concert Hall, Sheffer Recital Hall is a humble 175-seat venue. A calendar of upcoming performances at the recital hall is available on the website.
