Dedicated to the people who lost their lives in the 1970 Lubbock Tornado, the Civic Center was constructed just after the tornado and showed the spirit and resilience of the people of Lubbock. The Center has an exhibit hall, a banquet hall, theater, pedestrian mall & plaza, and meeting rooms. The largest space, the exhibit hall, can seat just under 5,000 in auditorium style seating.
