Hi, I’m Traci! I’m a professional piano instructor teaching in the North County San Diego area. I provide private lessons from my home studio in Carlsbad (La Costa). I have 20 years of teaching experience (ages 5 - adult), focusing on technique, music theory, performance skills and more. I'm an active MTAC, MTNA member and also am MTAC certified. My students have the opportunity to participate in state festivals, competitions, and recitals. Music can bring such joy to a student, while building confidence and focus. I aim to set a student up for success and tailor lessons to each individual. Contact me today for a free introductory lesson!
Jazz/Pop/Rock piano lessons for intermediate to advanced students who are intrinsically motivated. My students learn to read lead sheets, play by ear, improvise, play in various types of ensembles, and compose. To a great extent lessons are self-guided, allowing students to learn songs they enjoy and are familiar with. Incorporating ear training and lead sheets allows students to learn songs without being limited to what is available in traditional print music at their skill level.
