Our piano studio specializes in The Playing-Based Piano Method of Simply Music as opposed to the traditional reading-based approach that most piano teachers use for piano lessons. We teach you how to play the piano by immersing you in the process of playing right from the start. This step-by-step process is simple to learn, easy to follow and genuinely fulfilling. It focuses on the sheer joy of playing the piano. As a result you will be able to play great-sounding songs, hands together from your very first lessons. Within months you will build a diverse repertoire that includes contemporary, classical, blues and accompaniment pieces. By the end of your first year of lessons, you will have acquired 35 - 50 great-sounding songs in your playlist. You will discover that you have the ability to learn piano in an easy and natural way. Instead of learning notes, you acquire learning clues. These learning clues allow you to easily learn songs, which by the very nature of this method means you know them without having to memorize them. You will also experience the undeniable joy that comes from playing a huge repertoire of music that you can play anytime, anywhere, without having to rely on sheet music. It is after you have a working playlist and have developed a relationship to the piano that we teach you how to read music from the page

At YY Piano Studio, we believe the best music lessons are not one-size-fits-all. Every student learns differently, and our goal is to help each child build strong musical skills while truly enjoying the process. Founded in 2018, YY Piano Studio offers personalized, one-on-one music lessons in a warm, encouraging, and professional environment. Our instructors are carefully selected not only for their musical backgrounds, but also for their patience, communication skills, and ability to connect with students. We offer private lessons in Piano, Violin, Guitar, Clarinet, Voice, Music Theory, Composition, and Improvisation, with programs for beginners through advanced students, as well as adults. For students who would like to pursue more structured goals, we also provide preparation for MTAC Certificate of Merit, ABRSM, RCM, recitals, and music competitions. What matters most to us is long-term growth. We want our students to become more confident, focused, expressive, and independent through music—not simply learn how to play the right notes. Whether your child is picking up an instrument for the very first time or looking for a teacher to help them reach the next level, our team will create a learning plan based on their individual needs and goals. Come meet our teachers and experience a lesson at YY Piano Studio. We’d love to be part of your child’s musical journey!
