We offer high-quality, student-focused music lessons with one-on-one instruction and group classes for students of all ages and skill levels. Lessons in Violin, Viola, Cello, Brass, Banjo, Bass, Percussion, Flute, Guitar, Brass, Ukulele, Voice and more. Our music teachers are experienced, and dedicated professionals. Above all, our teachers are passionate about providing high level instruction to their students.
About the Colorado Music Institute Founded in 1996 as the Colorado Drum Institute, we grew to what was considered by many to be the largest private drum school in the nation. Then one day in 2002, the mother of one of our students said, "Gosh, I wish you taught guitar so I didn't have to drive across town for my other son." We hired a guitar instructor on spec, and basically it took off. We changed our name to the Colorado Music Institute in 2005, and now teach Drums, Guitar, Bass, Keyboards, Piano, and Vocals in styles such as Rock, Funk, Heavy-Metal, Jazz, and Hip-Hop serving the entire Denver - Metro area and all of Colorado. Students of all ages and levels are welcome. Band Camp starts in June and lasts all summer long. Camps are one week long and start at different times through the summer. Our facilities are top notch. Electric bills are of no concern at Swallow Hill, America's second largest school of folk music, for it specializes in nothing but acoustic music. This multi-dimensional facility offers more than 300 music classes for both adults and kids on everything from mandolin playing to songwriting. Every Thursday night it sponsors sing-a-longs, jam sessions, and open stage performances, which are always free to the public. The year-round concert series attracts both local and nationally acclaimed folk musicians.
