The center carries guitars, banjos, mandolins, autoharps, harmonicas, and even rare and unusual items like a 1920 Gibson six-string banjo. About the Colorado Music Institute Founded in 1996 as the Colorado Drum Institute, we grew to what was considered by many to be the largest private drum school in the nation. Then one day in 2002, the mother of one of our students said, "Gosh, I wish you taught guitar so I didn't have to drive across town for my other son." We hired a guitar instructor on spec, and basically it took off. We changed our name to the Colorado Music Institute in 2005, and now teach Drums, Guitar, Bass, Keyboards, Piano, and Vocals in styles such as Rock, Funk, Heavy-Metal, Jazz, and Hip-Hop serving the entire Denver - Metro area and all of Colorado. Students of all ages and levels are welcome. Band Camp starts in June and lasts all summer long. Camps are one week long and start at different times through the summer. Our facilities are top notch.
