At Gretna Music Lessons, every lesson starts with fit, not just scheduling. Before your first class, we match you with an instructor based on your goals, skill level, and personality — not just who happens to be free. Our roster includes 45+ instructors, many holding Music Education degrees or working as professional performers. Get paired wrong? Switch teachers, no hassle. Our Gretna studio was recently renovated top to bottom — new rooms, new look — and voted #1 in Business Rate's "Best of 2025" for the Gretna area. We teach piano, guitar (acoustic and electric), drums, voice, violin, flute, and more, for students age 5 through adult. We've had students start in their 60s and beyond — it's genuinely never too late. Lessons run weekly (30 minutes by default, hourly available) at one flat monthly price, with no long-term contract — just 30 days' notice if you ever need to stop. Any month with a 5th week, you get a free makeup lesson built in automatically. Every student gets a digital progress folder, and we host an optional annual recital so families can watch real progress on a real stage. We're proud to be part of the Gretna community, serving Gretna, west Sarpy County, Springfield, Ashland, and the Hwy 370 corridor. As one longtime student put it: "I've been taking guitar lessons here since they opened — I started at 49." Whatever age your student is starting at, we'll meet them there.
Wood & Knit Be Nice Music Studio offers private beginning through early intermediate piano lessons. We recommend starting lessons around age 7 and up with a few exceptions determined by the parent, child, and teacher. We are also a retailer of yarn, knitting/crochet supplies & notions, handmade yarn items as well as custom hand-crafted wood items. We carry brands like ChiaoGoo, KnitPro, Cascade Yarns, Jody Long, Plymouth, Circulo, and more. We hope you'll visit and check out our offerings. If you bring your project, you can even stop in on a Wednesday or a Saturday between 11 AM and 3 PM and sit and stitch with us! Join our fiber artist community!
Uncle Bob Classical Guitar Lessons specializes in patient, structured guitar instruction for children, adults, seniors, beginners, returning players, and neurodiverse learners. Local students can receive personalized, one-on-one instruction at the Plattsmouth studio. The studio serves Plattsmouth and surrounding communities, including Bellevue, Papillion, Omaha, and Council Bluffs. Lessons develop proper posture, hand position, tone, rhythm, sight-reading, music theory, fingerstyle technique, musical expression, and effective practice habits. Students outside the local area can enroll in the Nationwide Online Self-Directed Guitar Study program. This structured online program allows students to progress from home with organized levels, assignments, practice tools, learning materials, and optional private coaching or assessment sessions when additional help is needed. Instruction is grounded in classical guitar and Suzuki-informed teaching principles while remaining flexible enough to support classical, fingerstyle, folk, worship, country, rock, and other musical interests. A free introductory lesson is available to help students understand the program and choose the learning option that best fits their needs.
