Harp & Classical Guitar - Sales & Rentals; Music Lessons; Vibroacoustic Harp Therapy Sessions (hours by appointment)
Since 2004, hundreds of students have made The Lesson Center their music school of choice in the Lehigh Valley. We started as a small three-room studio in Bethlehem. We have since grown to become one of the largest music lesson schools in the area. Our emphasis is on LEARNING. While our students do get many opportunities to perform, it is our #1 goal to give them the building blocks necessary to be successful in their instrument . Whether their music lesson plan is in classical training or they simply want to rock, our teachers are equipped to guide each student. As a parent, we realize you have a choice between several different music schools. All studios are not the same. We constantly renovate and improve our facilities. You won't find any tiny closet-sized rooms here. Our music lesson rooms are large. They include state of the art equipment. And, most importantly, viewing windows for curious parents. All of this providing our students and parents with the best experience possible. Students are our first priority. Mom and dad are a close second. For this reason, we offer simultaneous or consecutive music lessons (for convenient sibling lessons), comfortable waiting areas in view of our lesson rooms, free Wi-Fi and easy access from just about every point in the Lehigh Valley.
New, Used and Vintage acoustic and electric guitars, basses, drums, pianos and accessories. Customer Service is our specialty and we service and repair all guitars and amplifiers. We build Custom Shop instruments from scratch and also represent other custom builders, in our shop. We started this business in 1993 and based it on our lesson program and our staff's knowledge of instruments and gear. All music lessons are private instruction in our Music School studios on premises. Our entire staff of instructors is the best in the region. Among the available courses are guitar, bass, slide guitar, lap steel, dobro, piano, drums and percussion. We also offer a course in song writing and a group class called Rock Show which not only shows the students how to perform a song on stage, but starts with the process of the selection of other members with the same goals, musical tastes and time constraints. We then show the band how to practice, how to rehearse, the selection of the correct equipment for their needs, the set-up of equipment and the sound system, as well as the way to handle the inevitable bumps in the road. Guitar Villa is a one stop shop with real advice from professional musicians eager to help. We sponsor and participate in open mics as well as jam and clinic / workshop events with local regional and nationally acclaimed musicians.
At my studio, I offer piano lessons to children and adults of all ability levels. Patience and encouragement are at the core of my teaching philosophy. In addition, I incorporate various teaching styles and methods. When teaching piano lessons, I emphasize musical expression, healthy technique, music theory, and ear training. I have a bachelor's degree in music education and a PK-12 PA teaching certification in music.
