I'm a very personable and dynamic teacher, and I try to be very sensitive to each and every student's needs.... I also hold live performance, such as Drum Recitals, where each student performs two songs for all the other students. Parents, spouses and significant others encouraged to attend.

Personalized music lessons to meet our students musical preferences & goals.. A student-driven approach takes into account the student's preferences and meets them where they're at and develop their skills and abilities to play and create the music they enjoy. Student-guided means that you learn guitar, bass, piano, voice, and songwriting that's practical and applicable to your life rather than getting bogged down in a lot of busy-work that doesn't directly inform the songs and music you're learning. Students learn the music theory, scales, and technical skills that help them make their favorite music, instead of working from a pre-set plan of what the student should learn. All music lessons are tailored to the student's interest and ability. Music is both a solitary and shared experience. Come learn guitar, bass, piano, music theory and songwriting skills you need with Green Hills Guitar Studio. We never lock you into a contract and offer flexible scheduling.

Whether you are just starting out or have been playing for years, young or (not so young). You will have the benefit of having an experienced (35+ years) personal instructor who will Nurture, Educate, and challenge you on yours or your children's musical journey. No long-term commitments required. - GLP teaches techniques and theories of the various styles that each student is most interested in learning. This could include the ability to read music notation, advanced ear training, rhythmic development, ensemble skills, songwriting/compositional tools, improvisation, chord theory, advanced guitar neck theory/visualization techniques (such as CAGED system and modes), scale/interval theory, understanding keys via circle of fourths/fifths, drop 2 chords, jazz chord pools, and much more. - Songs are chosen based on the skill level and stylistic interests of each student. From there, various aspects of technique and musical theory will be broken down and then built upon within each song that follows. - For younger students, the approach is similar but with a longer timeline and a greater focus on developing a proper foundation of left/right hand mechanics. All things technical are balanced with patience and encouragement.
