Park Cities School of Music serves the Dallas neighborhoods of the Park Cities (University Park & Highland Park), Preston Hollow, Lakewood and Lake Highlands. We provide private music lessons (at students' home or in-studio) for students of all ages for the following: Piano, Violin, Viola, Cello, Voice, Guitar, Drums, Bass, Ukulele Private individualized music lessons for children with special needs, as well as other specialized programs such as: * Little Mozart Group Lessons * Baby, Music & Me Group Classes for toddlers. * Music Composition We believe that music is an invaluable tool that constantly challenges the mind. Studies have shown that the skills learned in the performing arts are transferred to other fields such as math & science. Individual music lessons also help with general stimulation of the brain, improving fine motor skills, memory and speech.
Founder Zach Galindo started Lake Highlands School of Music in 2017 and it has become the largest music school in East Dallas serving 300 students. Our team consists of 20 high-caliber music professionals who are passionate about their work and dedicated to inspiring students of all ages to excel on guitar, piano, bass, drums, voice, violin, and ukulele. Students drive from as far away as Rowlette and Flower Mound to take lessons with our expert teachers. We provide modern music instruction for all ages 5 & up. This encompasses not only traditional classical music, but jazz, rock, hip-hop, pop, rhythm and blues, funk, and country. We have students intensely preparing for competitions such as the Cliburn, but we realize that many of our students will simply have music as a meditative tool of expression after their season of study with us. Our commitment is to bring music to life in the minds of each of our students, and we acknowledge that each student has different core values, struggles, and reasons for choosing to pursue the study of music. There is no “one size fits all” formula for effective teaching, and we seek to provide adaptive relational learning for each unique student. Lastly, the culmination of what LHSM offers is our Performance Program. The program places your student in a band with young musicians of similar ability. Each band rehearses, records, writes, and performs with their band at some of Dallas' coolest venues and hotspots.
