At Dr. Benjamin Wong Piano Studio, we offer a conservatory-level piano education in a supportive and inspiring environment. Students receive structured training that builds strong technique, deep musical understanding, and expressive artistry from the very beginning. Dr. Wong studied with renowned concert pianist Sergey Schepkin, whose lineage connects to legendary pianists Russell Sherman and Grigory Sokolov. This tradition of excellence shapes the way students are taught—combining high standards with clear, effective guidance. Our studio features a professional two-grand-piano setup, allowing for real-time demonstration and immediate feedback—an approach commonly found in university-level instruction. Students also have opportunities to participate in masterclasses with distinguished pianists, gaining valuable performance experience and artistic insight. Students from the studio have earned top awards in competitions and performed in venues such as Carnegie Hall and the Walt Disney Concert Hall. While results are not the sole focus, they reflect the quality and consistency of training. We work closely with families to support each student’s growth, whether they are beginners or advanced pianists preparing for competitions and auditions.

Plus, we have mandolin lessons, ukulele lessons and banjo lessons. HitMaker Music School was founded by Mike Irene, BM (Berklee College of Music - 1993), in 2013. We named the school HitMaker because we want to teach our students how to be a Hit in Music and in Life! When our students rise to the challenge of practicing for a recital or a test, they gain something that can't be taught. Confidence. HitMaker Music School is a place of enrichment, encouragement, and gratitude. Our approach is to work through the fundamentals of music and the instrument study to build a foundation of musical knowledge & appreciation. In our lessons with kids and adults, the teacher customizes to each student needs by choosing songs that use these fundamental skills. This approach makes the music lessons successful and more enjoyable for all students.
