The Lynchburg Symphony Orchestra traces its roots to the Fine Arts Center in Lynchburg, now known as the Academy Center of the Arts. At the LSO, we are proud of our history of service to the Greater Lynchburg community, maintaining a continual presence for more than 35 years. We regularly present live symphonic performances featuring classical music along with pops, musicals, movie scores, and contemporary programs. Introducing young people to music has long been at the core of what we do to engage and serve local residents. LSO musicians have provided music appreciation programs to more than 15,000 students through the Lynchburg City Schools and various community organizations.

Bella Musica Studio provides private violin, viola, cello and piano lessons in the Lynchburg area.
Rockbridge Music offers lessons on most instruments, including piano, guitar, banjo, mandolin, and fiddle. We do repairs on acoustic and electric instruments. There are several options for microphones and PA systems. An extensive music selection is available as well as selling most instruments and accessories. Rockbridge Music opened August 1, 1983.
I have been building fine custom musical instruments since 1978 in rural Bedford, Virginia. Working alone in a wood shop I designed and built, I have developed designs for ten different acoustic instruments. Although I specialize in hammered dulcimers, I also build bouzoukis, folk harps, Appalachian dulcimers, bowed psalteries, two octave zithers, slit drums, thumb pianos, mandolins and the occasional guitar.
