I teach private lessons virtually as well as in my home studio in Renton WA by appointment and for very reasonable rates. My experience in over 50 years as a guitar and bass guitar teacher have impressed me with the need to provide a well rounded approach to playing. Too many guitar teachers ignore the important tool of reading music, and those that do sometimes do so at the expense of spontaneity. Both of these aspects are important and neither should be ignored. I believe that I offer the most comprehensive approach so the student can apply it to whatever style of music they like, I can help anyone be a better guitar player, but I specialize in helping people who think they can't play to learn that they can.

Loudhouse is a fully functional music production studio, as well as a music classroom. I teach individual and group drums, bass, guitar, keys, vocals, recording techniques and band building. Most of all, I teach songwriting and experimenting. For examples, many of my students come in wanting to learn guitar and end up as drummers or drummers become singers, etc. Many students like to put music to their own animations or movies. I can teach that. Many students write in a journal, but they don't know how to make it a song. That is my favorite thing. I've also taught many students who are on the spectrum. Shy students are very welcome here. I love my quiet, lakeside studio, but I also do HOUSE CALLS! References available. All ages and All experience levels welcome. No instruments needed.
