A.M.P. Gallery brings Art, Music, and Poetry together in Portland’s Pearl District. Founded by artist, poet, and DJ Louis White, this Black-owned cultural space celebrates Black creativity while welcoming people of every background. Discover artwork that tells stories of pride, resilience, and transformation. Experience open mics, community conversations, karaoke, and gatherings where you can express yourself or simply enjoy the room. We value presence over perfection — whether you take the mic or take a seat, you belong here. Come for the art, stay for the poetry, find your community.

Moksha Marquardt Art

The shop is open by appointment between the hours posted here. Moksha is a professional artist with many years of experience in both the corporate world (where he worked in the computer game industry for over 17 years) as well as private studio work. His style is compared to the visionary painters like Alex Grey or the Polish surrealist painters like Beksinski. His work is on display and available in a wide price range in the form of originals and prints. He teaches students techniques in acrylic painting, oil painting, drawing and other traditional art mediums. His focus is on freeing the student from fear or anxiety about accessing their creative power. Moksha is also a frame drum maker and player. He sells his frame drums and rattles and teaches frame drum building from his studio in Portland to students one on one or in small groups. He also does custom painted drums by request.

Froelick Gallery

Located in the historic DeSoto building which has many galleries and venues for art, the Froelick Gallery displays bold and individualistic artwork by contemporary artists. Although many local artists are represented at the exhibitions, displays of the works of artists from as far away as Tokyo can also be found here. The gallery organizes more than 15 solo exhibitions and around 4 group exhibitions during the course of a year. Exhibitions include artwork of varying mediums and styles, thereby ensuring that no two exhibitions are the same. Established in 1995, the gallery is one of the most respected institutions to display art in the city.

100th Monkey Studio

The 100th Monkey Studio will provide anyone, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity or sexual orientation, a safe and affordable place to use art materials. We will support each artist in their unique journey of using art as a means of individual self expression. The 100th Monkey Studio will provide the community with art resources while also being a creative place to visit and view art.
