Vox Populi
Vox Populi Gallery is one of the city's reputed and popular art galleries. Established in 1988, this gallery provides a wider platform to the amateur artists and allows them to showcase their works here. Apart from presenting their art, artists can also voice their thoughts at the art talks, discussions and various other events held here. Be it a solo artist or a creative group, Vox Populi Gallery gives everyone an equal chance. Visitors can browse through its exclusive collection on Sunday. For details, check website.
Gallery Joe
Gallery Joe is by no means as generic as its name might imply. Since 1994, the owners of this smallish gallery have devoted their efforts toward dealing with contemporary drawings. If you're an art lover and have an eye for colors then you will enjoy the varied display from artists. Regular exhibitions and events are not only visually appealing but also very informative in terms of contemporary schemes and forms of art.
The Memorial, founded by art-loving millionaire Samuel Fleisher in 1898, offers classes, exhibitions, workshops, residencies and performances and everyone is invited "to come and learn art" for free. More than 100,000 adults and children have participated in Fleisher's special programs. The gallery shows change monthly. Fleisher Art Memorial is the oldest tuition-free visual arts school in America. The Fleisher Art Memorial is supported in part by income from a testamentary trust established by Fleisher's will.
