River City Clay combines the passion and expertise of its owners with over 80 years of combined experience. Our owners have a history that all began with our company’s reason for existence--pottery. Ken and Melody Shipley are internationally recognized potters that have shared their love of ceramics through teaching for over four decades. Our clay classes welcome potters of all skill levels. Single Class: We are here to help whether you want to scratch making pottery off your bucket list or learn the basics of your new favorite hobby. Check out our Classes page to schedule a One-Time Workshop for wheel throwing or hand-building. Monthly Classes: The key to learning to make pottery is repetition and practice. Our 4 week courses are a great way to dip your toes in the world of ceramics as well as hone your craft. The Gallery We have a wonderful gallery and gift shop as well if you're looking for that perfect gift for someone special or treating yourself. Gift cards are also available.
