Christian Art Museum of Ft. Worth

As the name alludes, Christian Arts Museum of Fort Worth is dedicated to showcasing artistic depictions of biblical events. Featuring a number of beautiful artworks from sculptures to paintings, this gallery takes pride in being a promoter of religious art. A number of exhibitions are also hosted here wherein renowned artists from all over the state, as well as budding local artists exhibit their artistic talents.

Sid Richardson Museum

An exhausted cowboy slouches in his saddle after a hot, hard day of herding cattle over the plains. Frederic Remington, Charles M. Russell and a few other artists uniquely captured the struggle and challenge of the "Old West" with their art. Art collector, philanthropist and oilman Sid Richardson donated his personal collection of original art masterpieces to the museum, located in Fort Worth's Sundance Square Arts District. Features include both paintings and sculpture redolent of the early west.

Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth

Often referred to as the state's oldest art museum, this facility has been in existence since 1892. The Modern Art Museum now houses more than 2800 sculptures, paintings, prints, photographs and other artworks created since World War II. The collection includes pieces by luminaries such as Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse and Andy Warhol. Tours are open to the public every Saturday afternoon. The gift shop offers books, magazines, posters and other artistic memorabilia as well as educational toys. The museum hosts various art classes for patrons of all ages throughout the year.

Adobe Western Art Gallery

Promoters of Texan culture, Adobe Western Art Gallery features a collection of traditional and contemporary western art. Aimed at putting local art and artists on the map, this gallery features a host of artistic depictions of historically and culturally relevant moments of the state, as well as a number of abstract creations. From paintings and sculptures to the occasional furniture collection, most of the art work on display here are created by artists from the state.

A leading venue for showcasing contemporary art works of local artists, Artspace 111 believes in helping struggling artists and works diligently towards promoting them too. The charming location also doubles up as an entertainment venue for weddings and special occasions.

This offbeat gallery in the University campus is definitely a great place to catch up on the rising talents of the local art world. Primarily focusing on the works of alumni of TSU's School of Art, Moudy Gallery acts as a platform for these emerging artists to not only hone their artistic skills but also their professional network within the area's creative society.
