The Art League Houston was founded in the year 1948 and turned into a non-profit organization in the year 1953. It boasts being one of the longest running non-profit visual art premises in the city. Besides, Art League Houston also runs an art academy that conducts art appreciation classes and enhances the artistic skills of its students. The academy boasts of having trained more than 30,000 artists over the years.
