Femi Johnson was born in Ekiti Ikole, Ondo, Nigeria October 23, 1962. and now resides in Oshogbo Oshun, Nigeria with his wife and two children. He was educated in the Union Baptist Primary School, Osogbo; Egbe-Oba High School, Ikole-Ekiti; Nigeria Film Technology Institute , Owo and Art Apprenticeship under Mr. Kola Sorunke. He has had solo exhibitions at the Royal Palace, Osogbo, 1998, the African Art Center, Osogbo, 1989, Shell Petroleum House, Ikoyi, Lagos 1990, and New Creations of Osogbo, Hamburg, Germany 1992. He has exhibited in many group shows in Nigeria, Germany, England India, Japan, France, Brasil, and the U.S.A.. He is the youngest artist to be named Curator to the Oshogbo Artist Movement Gallery and Museum. Two of his paintings were dedicated at Hartsfield Airport, Concourse E prior to the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta.
