The Visual Arts Center (VAC) is a venue for the art and art history department at the University of Texas in Austin to showcase their work. Many events take place here as well, such as lectures, art galleries, performing arts shows, and more; be sure to check out the website's event calendar. Canopy
Canopy Austin offers multiple galleries and studio spaces for artists at their venue. Housing around eight art galleries and multiple purpose rooms, close to 50 studio spaces and an in-house cafe, the venue is ideal for community art projects and workshops. Set under a translucent material, canopy-style roof, the rooms are surrounded by a rather large courtyard. Natural light passing through the roof makes this place looks very bright and airy. You are sure to wander about musing the architectural vision of this place.
