Situated on North Main Street, this bakery remains popular for the delicious coconut cakes, papaya salad, mussel omlette and other heavenly Thai treats. The stall occupies a run-down area of Chinatown, where it is common to spot abandoned rail tracks and storehouses. Stop in at Mae Ting's, and you will be welcomed by her son. He will readily offer you samples of the traditional goodies, if you are not sure of which treats to order. The eatery only welcomes diners on weekends, though locals would only love to go there everyday.
