I learned to make cakes from scratch as a teenager from my mother. I have made cakes from scratch forforty-eight years for my family and friends to enjoy. Within the last year I started making them for my church and everyone was amazed that the cakes are so delicious and melt in your mouth. So with the encouragement of my church family as well as my family members. Sweet's Down Home Cakes was born. The name is in honor of my mother because she taught and along the way I learn other things to improve. All cakes are made from scratch at the time an order is placed using the finest ingredients.
