Guess what WE found out when we started researching bakeries? Some smaller craft bakeries start their cakes with cake mixes out of a bag. Huh? Yes, even some ridiculously expensive LA bakeries featured on the Food Network start with cake mixes that make their jobs easier. We start by cracking eggs. Organic, locally-sourced eggs from chickens that actually have a good life. We also use flour, milk & butter. Crazy. We DON'T use chemicals or impossible-to-pronounce additives. We DO use as many locally-produced ingredients as possible. We DON'T make character cakes with Disney and other licensed characters. We DO make beautiful cakes, from simple to fancy, small to large. We DON'T overprice our goods. We DO price them according to industry standards that allow for a fair but razor-thin profit. We DON'T make huge batches of anything. We DO make our goods in small batches (and yes, you can taste the difference). We DON'T plan on "running out" But we WILL. Those in the know get here early.
