At Violette, we use natural, organic and locally-sourced ingredients. Our breads, cakes, cookies, tarts and pies are hand-made from scratch. While this means that it takes longer to make each dessert, we think it's a labor of love. We cook for you like we cook for ourselves and our families. If we wouldn't eat it, we wouldn't want you to either. Our emphasis is on bringing back real food into the commercial food chain. Just because you bought it doesn't mean its not as healthy (or tasty) as anything you'd prepare at home. We use fresh fruits, edible flowers and seasonal vegetables in almost everything we make. We hand-mill much of our own flour and grind our coarse organic sugar cane into pastry quality so that our baked goods not only taste better, they are better for you. We aim for a product that's not just "good for gluten free," but rather, that's just plain good.
Sweet Spot Bakery has recently undergone a management change. However, we are still offering the same tasty treats and are using the same recipes that Melrose residents have grown to love since 1999.
