Founded in 1985, Sugar Plum Inc. started as a nonprofit organization and is a retail store offering an array of bakery products and rehabilitative facility. Based in Virginia Beach, Va., the firm also serves the needs of people with disabilities through employment, education and training programs. Sugar Plum, Inc. specializes in baking cakes for every occasion and offers around 40 varieties of cakes. It networks with various agencies and organizations providing services for disabled. The store has been granted permission from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The store also offers a wide variety of pastries, donuts, pies, cookies and other treats The Sugar Plum Caf is a Part of the retail store. The caf has a selection of soups, sandwiches, salads, quiche and more. The store also arranges for donation camps in order to enhance the training and employment programs.
