This adorable café, bedecked in a menagerie of colors, sits one block east of the Pearl Street Mall. Its lively atmosphere and cluttered tables promote conversation. Most of the menu items come with creative names, such as the Altitude Adjustment crepe and the It was Sam Andreas Fault omelet. Vegetarian dishes are plentiful. A full espresso bar offers a multitude of caffeine fixations, and a range of beers and wines. Live music plays Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays.
A casual and chic cafe, Alpine Modern Café, is located on the College Avenue. This beautiful place with high roofs and white walls has a lovely ambiance for an enjoyable time with your people. The cafe with large contemporary windows and beautiful photo frames and chandeliers serves amazing breakfast and lunch menu. They have a changing menu of fresh, in-house baked breads. The coffee beans that they use to prepare their delicious coffees are imported from Denver's local roasters.

Cafe Blue is a modest little cafe in the middle of the Gunbarrel Shopping District. However, for such a small, out-of-the-way place, it has quite the reputation. To begin with, it's one of the most family-friendly cafes in all of Boulder, with the kids and seniors menus also open for adult purchase if you ask; the selection of sandwiches, soups, and burgers is perfect for picky eaters and kids while more exciting, internationally-flavored options are available for the more adventurous; and all for low, low prices! Cafe Blue does get busy during meal times so it's best to call ahead, though reservations are not necessary. A great way to relax after a day in Boulder.
