Culp’s Café pays homage to Culp’s Cafeteria—a renowned Dayton lunchroom that specialized in home-cooked food. Housed in the legendary downtown Arcade, Culp’s was Dayton’s first restaurant to offer air conditioning, and it featured the first electric Hammond organ in the area. Communitea is both a tea room & a cafe that specializes in teas, home baked goods, soups and sandwiches. We have the best scones in the land served with true clotted cream imported from England. We are open for dining through out the day and we also are available as an event venue. It is a perfect place to host a birthday party, wedding or baby shower, business meeting or any gathering of up to 30 people. We try to make sure there is always a gluten free and a vegetarian option for our dining guests. The decor is retro, with original hardwood floors and large sunny windows, vintage linens and china.
