Cafe Tolia is located in the heart of Old City, Philadelphia. Our store name is inspired by the etymology of the Greek word Anatolia, which means "the land of the sunrise." It is a nod to our love for travel and exploring different cultures, as well as our passion for coffee and baking. Located close to the most historic sites of the USA, we are proud to be part of the rich and vibrant culture and traditions of freedom, brotherhood, and tolerance that Old City is known for. Our coffee shop is a place where people from all walks of life can come together, share a cup of coffee, and connect with one another. At Cafe Tolia, we believe that coffee is more than just a beverage; it is a culture and a way of life. We invite you to join us on this journey and experience the magic of coffee-making and baking. Thank you for choosing Cafe Tolia, and we look forward to sharing more with you in the future.
A great breakfast and lunch spot, located at the conjunction of 7th and Pemberton Streets, the Fitzwater Cafe boasts of a fabulous kitchen team, headed by Stacey DiPlacido. On offer here is an impressive menu that's dominated by hearty breakfast and brunch preparations. A famously BYOB place, where you can get your own alcohol to add to the 'buzz value' of your gorgeous brunch, Fitzwater Cafe serves truly scrumptious dishes like Crème Brulée French toast, breakfast burrito and tomato and pesto omelet, to name a few, along with fresh squeeze juices. The service is great and the prices are quite fair, the only con here is that they don't accept cards, so better load up on cash before heading here.
At Grindcore House you will find some of the best breakfast, lunch as well as dinner specials. The cafe is very popular because of their unique offering of vegan, vegetarian and organic dishes and hence enjoys a loyal patronage. They offer a plethora of non-dairy creamers and their sandwiches and pastries are made without meat, eggs or milk. Here, creativity oozes from their decor and settles only on your plate. A perfect spot to pick up a sandwich to go but also ideal for a sit-down lunch with friends and family, Grindcore House is a heaven for those with dietary preferences.
