Cafe Lomez

Our goal is to serve the best beignets and coffee you’ve ever had from a humble food truck. As a bonus, we try to offer guilt free consumption by 1) donating a portion of sales to ASPCA 2) using single origin coffee from sustainable farms in Sumatra that work to protect wildlife 3) supporting other local business by getting our milk, eggs, butter, etc. from them and not super stores. Coffee: my first experiences with coffee were at fast food chains like Dunkin’ doughnuts, Starbucks, and McDonald’s. For about 3 years, I thought the flavor profiles of coffee, sugars, creamers, and associated pastries were universal standards. However, when I first tasted good coffee in Vietnam, my perspective completely changed. I asked myself what the hell had I been previously exposed to. It was like a completely different drink. For the next 10 years, I’ve tried coffee from all over the world and practiced to replicate the results. I now feel confident I’m at a point where I can share my experiences by giving customers “real” coffee. I do this by sourcing single origin beans from Sumatra, roasting and storing them myself, freshly grind the beans to precise measurements, only use water with correct mineral levels, and brew with attention to detail.
