Foodheads began in 1992 as a boxed lunch catering company. Later it transformed an old house, near the UT Drag, to house its dine-in restaurant that has attracted quite a crowd. Students and Central Austinites flock to this popular lunch spot on the weekend to enjoy made-from-scratch sandwiches on FoodHeads' sunny patio. The casual eatery has a favorable reputation for fresh food, homemade soups and giant sandwiches like mom used to prepare. Try one of their delectable specialties like pastrami, tuna Nicoise or smoked salmon bagel with a refreshing cold iced tea.
Billy's on Burnet is your around the corner friendly neighborhood beer and burger hangout. A place to kick back, let your hair down and sip the local brews which go great with the chicken wings and fries. That doesn't mean that the food here is worth a pass. Billy's on Burnet are partial to burgers, with the Ends and the Schults being named after a local band and their lead singer(no clue about Reuben the sandwich). The daily lunch specials have regular names like meatballs and meatloaf but standing out is the Vegetarian. Amongst the fans, the football freaks and the kind who love their laptop, even those standing out blend in well. That's Billy's for you.
