Midway Car Rental was founded by Don Hankey who was born and raised in Los Angeles. Mr. Hankey completed his BA and post-graduate work at the University of Southern California in 1965. Possessing a keen understanding of finance, by age 27 Mr. Hankey became Vice President of a major investment banking firm, which would later become part of USB Paine Weber. With a family history in the automobile business, Mr. Hankey acquired Midway Ford in 1972 and the dealership's business flourished. He learned the value of quality customer service early - and he has applied those lessons ever since, building one of the largest privately owned businesses in America. Customer satisfaction is what separates Midway Car Rental from every other vehicle rental agency. The others focus on their shareholders. We focus on the unique requirements of each client. With convenient locations throughout L.A., a local fleet of 2,500 vehicles, and more than 40 years of proven experience, Midway Car Rental delivers. There's a reason that Midway Car Rental works with every major film studio, and is the sole vehicle rental service at premier hotels like the Peninsula: because we know how to serve the most demanding customers in the world. We look forward to helping make your travel experience both memorable and rewarding.
