I have it mounted with great pride, in honor of these hard working creatively intelligent women of my lineage; dating back to the late 1800;s. People can claim they are the best without any risk. Our food is the best because our standards are higher than anyone else in the business. Made fresh daily, not from a can, bag or jar like our competitors and everything is 100% homemade from family recipes dating back 150+ years from Bari, Italy. On a map, Bari, Italy sits just above the nipple which is above the heel of the boot, on the coast where olive orchards and fig tree groves grow as far as the eye can see. While living in the NorthEnd, my Noni made her own pasta and hung it from the clothes line on her front porch. Then she would masterfully roll "Little Ears" with such precision. The "Pasta Ladies of Bari" were known as the inventors of the Orecchiette: using their thumb to create the small ear shaped pasta we know and love.
