We are Catering Only The Hecker Pit specializes in authentic Santa Maria–style BBQ for private events, bringing bold Central Coast flavor and traditional live-fire cooking directly to your gathering. Owner, executive chef, and pitmaster Chris Hecker prepares quality BBQ the old-fashioned way—with real fire, smoke, and time. Our specialties include Santa Maria–style tri-tip, chicken, pulled pork, and other slow-smoked favorites, paired with traditional sides including pinquito beans, fresh salsa, and coleslaw. PLEASE NOTE: At this time, The Hecker Pit ONLY provides BBQ for private, prearranged events. We do not have a retail, storefront, food truck, or restaurant location open to the public. We do not offer walk-in or daily dining service.
