Common Tides is Wilmington's craft mobile coffee trailer, and it started with one stubborn goal: pull an amazing espresso every single time. Not sometimes. Every time. I'm Zack Bennett, and I founded Common Tides in 2025 because I didn't think you should have to walk into a brick-and-mortar shop to get coffee that's actually made with care. So I built a full craft espresso bar on wheels, the same equipment, the same process, the same attention to detail, and I bring it to you. Quality is the whole point. I work hand in hand with a North Carolina roaster whose beans I genuinely believe in. Our matcha comes directly from a family farm in Shizuoka, Japan. Even our water is reverse osmosis filtered and remineralized, so every drink tastes the way it's supposed to. Doing right by the coast matters just as much. The trailer runs on a battery system with no generator and no fumes, we serve in compostable cups, we compost our grounds with Wilmington Compost Company, and the goal is to go fully solar. Common Tides is proof that you can run a great small business and still take care of the planet. We're a certified 5-Star Ocean Friendly Establishment, the highest rating there is. Honestly, the best part is the people. You'll find us at farmers markets, neighborhood pop-ups, weddings, and corporate events across Wilmington, Wrightsville Beach, Carolina Beach, and the Cape Fear coast. This town has given me so much, and every cup is a chance to give a little back.
