Canter Construction & Electrical is a Santa Cruz–based, family-owned business specializing in electrical work and residential remodeling. With over 15 years of hands-on experience and a licensed general contracting background, we provide dependable craftsmanship homeowners can trust. Our services include electrical repairs and upgrades, kitchen and bathroom remodels, deck builds and remodels, whole-home remodels, and new construction. After seeing too many local homeowners frustrated by unreliable contractors, we built our business around clear communication, quality workmanship, and showing up when we say we will. We focus on quality workmanship, safety, and dependable service—making sure every job is completed correctly and up to code.

We are a design/build company that specializes in residential new construction and large remodels. We do many of the trades in-house so we have more control over quality and scheduling. In addition to concrete, framing, plumbing, electrical, windows and doors, siding, and finish carpentry, we also have experience with straw bale, earth plaster, living roofs, SIP's(structurally insulated panels) and rain water catchment systems. Our mission is to contribute to a sustainable community by designing and building healthy, energy efficient, environmentally conscious, long-lasting homes and workplaces.
