More than 30,000 families have chosen Satterwhite for their dream home, whatever the budget level - from tiny house cabins, to beautiful contemporary log homes, all the way to grand log lodges. Satterwhite log homes have been built all across America, virtually every state in the nation, plus all around the world. Satterwhite Log Homes features house logs made from dead standing timber. Trees used in Satterwhite homes are harvested under strict supervision of the United States Forest Service (every single tree!) and all logging activities are designed first for forest health and sustainability, preserving this special resource for future generations. We go to extremes to harvest only trees killed by natural causes, and avoid cutting living trees. Using dead trees is not only the right thing to do for the environment, but this special material delivers superb qualities that simply cannot be duplicated by cutting living trees, then dried through artifically accelerated processes.
