Established in 1983 as a subcontractor installing telephone systems for local telephone companies in Ohio, Jacobs Telephone Contractors offers a range of cable plant management services, such as consulting, design, engineering, installation, maintenance and cable plant documentation. It also offers outside plant construction and infrastructure services. The company is a member of the Building Industry Consulting Services International. Jacobs Telephone Contractors has a staff of over 40 installers and technicians. It also installs enterprise cabling networks, including telephone systems, data, coaxial and fiber optic cabling. Its outside plant cabling services include copper and optical trunk cabling, optical cable fusion splicing, and aerial and buried cabling.
