From decades of experience recording and broadcasting classical, jazz, and acoustic music, we prefer an "old school" approach - minimum or no compression, natural reverb, relying on the talents of the musicians who come through the studio, and on the skills of our production staff. The result is a recording with full, thrilling, dynamic range, and the true ability of the musicians come shining through. Taking as our model the old TELARC approach to recording, where the full dynamic range of the performers is a necessary part of the visceral experience of the music, we focus on live, organic, acoustic music. Adding audiophile techniques and gear such as binaural recording, we distinguish ourselves from the typical "all loud all the time" approach that many studios take. We've been doing live internet streaming for nearly a decade, and have added videography to our toolbag, offering performers a multi-camera, high-resolution (up to 4K) professional look and sound to their broadcasts.

We are a boutique studio nestled in the beautiful Mills River Valley. We offer full recording and production services in a well-designed and comfortable setting. We have multiple tracking rooms including a designated drum room equipped with a 1980 square badge vintage Gretsch drum kit with 1969 Ludwig Supraphonic snare and Mapex double kick pedals. David Hudson, our in-house engineer/producer, has a bachelor of music degree and performing experience which gives him an uncommon musical edge and ear. We also offer in-session vocal coaching.
