Melissa Mermin has unobtrusively documented colorful commitment ceremonies, upscale events and joyously fun weddings for over 25 years. Her storybook weddings have been published in Inside Weddings, Martha Stewart, books “Wedding Photography Unveiled: Inspiration from 20 Top Wedding Photographers” and interviewed on NBC and the Boston Globe. She’s based in Portland and has documented destination weddings from Mexico to Miami. She specializes in capturing the unplanned candid moments, the expressions and emotion while still getting all the little details that make your celebration unique and personal. She prefers working outdoors in natural venues like wineries and beach fronts over traditional stuffy banquet halls. Eclectic, non traditional unique elements like your dog being part of the wedding party, a llama petting station, having a second ceremony to honor your culture’s tradition or any elements that express who you really are. After the wedding, clients’ images are uploaded to a password protected website. A custom designed 8x10” album with ALL images included and shipped a month after the wedding. A teaser 1 minute Reel (with behind-the-scenes video) is also released (as a content creator) to share on social media the day after your wedding! LGBTQ couples are offered a sliding-scale discount if your wedding date is within 6 months of booking.
