Aquatic Recreation has been a major focus of the firm's planning, programming and management. As the principal of RPA, Susan has led the firm with her experience as a consultant to municipalities, private and social agencies. Susan has gained respect for her expertise and has spoken at the Pennsylvania State Recreation and Parks Society conferences on aquatics programming and profitability through design. Susan has also been published on the subject of playgrounds strengthening communities. Susan graduated from Kent State in 1974, with a Bachelor of Science in Recreation while majoring in therapeutic and municipal recreation. Her practical experience has included work with the Dade County Parks and Recreation Department, the Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority, the Lancaster Township Parks and Recreation Commission and most recently as the Director of Recreation for Freedom Village a retirement & long term care campus. Susan is a member of the National Recreation and Park Association and of the Pennsylvania Recreation and Parks Society.
