Our mom & pop shop has everything from finished wood pieces to live edge slabs available for purchase. At Rustic Elegance Woods, we're a detail-oriented company; we aim to let the natural beauty and character of the wood shine through our artwork and furniture. Most pieces keep their rougher "live edge." When we add epoxy onto our pieces, we do it in a way that accentuates the grain of the wood, with colors found in nature: ocean blue, forest green, etc. We create tables, entryway tables, coffee tables, end tables, charcuterie boards, carving boards, serving trays, benches, carved pieces of art, wall hangings, display pieces- all ready to bring a naturally elegant touch to your home. Plus, bookmatched counters and vanities tops can also be created. Our Process: We purchase logs from Hillsborough County, Florida and Jefferson County, Indiana, based on species, shapes, grain, color tones, etc.. We love character blemishes! Logs are sawn into 1.5 and 2.5 inch thick slabs at McCain Mills in Plant City, Florida. Slabs are first air and then kiln dried to 8% moisture content. They are stored in our wood studios for rough sawn sales or further milled and finished into art and furniture pieces. Epoxy is added to our pieces to hi-light grain and character traits. We use color tints found in nature, ocean blues, forest greens, etc.. We only mill and finish wood that we sell. Book-matching is routine because we display whole log flitches.
