At Shasta Tree Pro, we believe proper pruning is both a technical skill and an art—and sometimes less is more. Rather than cutting heavily simply to create a dramatic change, we consider each tree’s species, structure, condition, surroundings, and natural form, then remove only what serves a clear purpose. Whenever practical, we climb higher and make smaller, more selective cuts instead of removing large limbs lower in the canopy. This helps preserve the tree’s beauty, reduce stress, improve structure and clearance, and leave smaller wounds. Trenton Thompson personally evaluates and oversees each project, working with an experienced crew and certified arborists on staff. We do not unnecessarily top trees or use climbing spikes on trees being preserved. Our goal is not merely to cut branches, but to leave each tree safer, healthier, better balanced, and still looking like the tree it was meant to be. We also take special care around homes, roofs, fences, landscaping, and other obstacles by using modern climbing, rigging, and aerial-lift equipment.
