Hello, we are a mother (Kim) and daughter (Angela) dog grooming team. As groomers we saw a huge need for a less stressful and relaxed grooming environment to make grooming a great experience for both the dogs and their parents. A grooming salon that allows the dogs to have breaks during the groom and the groomer to take the time needed to make sure that each and every dog is happy, comfortable and cared for properly. We opened Pretty Paws Dog Grooming in 2021 and it has been the best decision we could have ever made. We are able to create a bond and build trust with both the dogs and their parents without time constraints or the corporate part that comes with commercial salons. Dogs are able to play and have fun without ever being kenneled. If separation is needed it is done by gates. Appointments start with a consult with the owners then every dog is given time to decompress and get comfortable with the environment before any grooming starts.They can choose to play, exercise, cuddle or just relax during this time. This allows them to get used to the different sounds of the equipment and feel comfortable. Then when grooming begins it starts with a health assessment and finishes with a cute, clean, fresh cut pup from nose to butt! Pretty Paws Dog Grooming has become exactly what we wanted it to be, a relaxed and happy home environment where grooming day feels like a play date.
