PetSmart
South Road carries Poughkeepsie pet parents straight to our training room, where every class starts with positive reinforcement. Whatever the season calls for is in stock when you need it, coat care through shedding season and cold-weather gear before winter sets in. Buy it online and collect it curbside on your way past. Adoptable cats and kittens stay with us through PetSmart Charities until the right family walks in. Our Accredited Trainers keep sessions structured, so each class builds on the last whether your dog is brand new to training or an adult working through something different. Private classes move at your dog's pace, group classes add practice around other dogs, and special savings packages let you pair courses together. In the salon, academy-trained Pet Stylists with over 800 hours of hands-on experience handle baths, full grooms, and breed-specific haircuts, plus de-shedding treatments that reduce flying fur. Walk-ins near Van Siclen Drive cover a quick nail grind or ear cleaning, and Seasonal Specials rotate through the year. From your dog's next class to a groom for every cat and dog at home, the whole household is handled near Route 9.
