We also offer solo walks for dogs who would benefit the most from a one-on-one experience to safely walk the dogs other companies may take a pass on. We offer dog training programs where your dog is picked up and trained for you! Whether they are a puppy or rescue, we offer basic obedience and socialization programs. We can take your wild child and get them ready for off-leash hikes with impeccable recall. Our service providers keep groups small so your dog's experience is intimate and personalized. Packs are carefully composed for disposition for safe bully-free hikes. At OPC we keep our wits about us during challenging and difficult situations to ensure positive outcomes in all aspects of our work. Delia is a Certified Professional Dog Walker and a graduate of the dog*tec Dog Walking Academy and also successfully completed training and certification in Pet CPR and First Aid and is background checked, licensed, insured, and bonded as is her team of service providers including professional certified trainers. While we understand there is NO substitute for mom or dad, our goal here at Fuzzy Britches is to provide your pet with as close to their normal routine as possible. We always meet for an in-home consult prior to your first trip so you can show us your pet's food, medication, favorite toys and hiding places, alarm system, etc., just so we make sure we get it right! This visit is at no cost to you (of course) and helps ensure that you have the opportunity to meet us face to face and ask all the questions you like. Our drop-in visits last 30 minutes, depending on you and your pet's needs. A home visit includes: 15-20 minutes play/snuggle time, feeding & medicating pets, watering plants, bringing in mail/newspaper, cleaning/changing cat box, poop scooping the yard, and email or text updates upon request. As a retired social worker, my specialization is providing observant, reassuring care to any dog who needs personal attention, frequent walks, a nurturing presence and a calm, low-key home environment. Small, sensitive, shy, mellow middled aged and older dogs do especially well with the care I offer. I also have extensive experience with medical special needs and no stairs, an advantage for small and senior dogs. My first priority is the safety of my guests and I will be your dog's sole caretaker. I've fostered with two rescue groups and am well versed in the special physical needs of specific breeds. I'm a former dog guardian but currently have no pets of my own: each dog is treated equally and becomes "my" dog during his/her stay, even sleeping with me if they wish! Finally, dog boarding is my full-time profession, no other responsibities claim my time or attention
