My name is Michael Bonano, but most people call me Mike. I am the founder of Loving Paws Pet Sitting and Doggie Baths, a family run business we started in 2006. Loving Paws began when I had been out of work for more than a year and was down to my last 100 dollars. My wife had experience grooming dogs, and I had experience with pet sitting, so I decided to take a chance. I used that last 100 dollars to buy business cards, basic equipment, and shampoos. Then I went looking for customers. Whenever I saw someone with a dog, I introduced myself and gave them two cards, one for them and one for a friend. My family would laugh and say, There goes Dad again, chasing down dogs and clients. Within two weeks we had about ten clients. Within a year we had about 200, and within two years we had more than 400. Nearly twenty years later, Loving Paws is still family run. We believe pets deserve patience, kindness, safety, and personal attention. I also advocate for displaced families, people with disabilities, seniors, veterans, and others who need a voice. To me, Loving Paws is more than a business. It is a family story built from hard work, determination, and a willingness to take a chance.

All breeds welcome, competitive pricing. We are a small owner operated business, so you will know exactly who is coming in to your home to take care of your furry pal. We have a very laid back business approach... no extra charge if you need a last minute walk (when available), nor cancellation fees (provided you give reasonable notice). I've been walking dogs in Bushwick for the past 12 years. I love the community and all of my dogs! I do all of the walking myself and am friendly and reliable. I also offer pet sitting in my home.
As pet owners & animal fanatics, we understand just how important it is to know that your FurKid is in good hands when they can't be with you. Our approach is very simple. For the time that we are with your dog or cat, they are our very own. We work hard to do everything you would do if you were able to be home for a walk or a snuggle with them. And as pet parents ourselves, we know that an email after our visit makes your day! We also know that it is important to you that we follow your own personal "parental approach" during our time with them, and that is exactly what we do. We pride ourselves on taking very special care of both young and gray muzzled FurKids. We offer private dog walks, park trips, cat sitting, in home dog boarding and even "Paw Spa" treatments. Please be sure to click on & check out our "filtered" reviews...great client reviews that the Yelp system decided to hide!
