My name is Michael Bonano, but most people call me Mike. I am the founder of Loving Paws Pet Sitting and Doggie Baths, a family run business we started in 2006. Loving Paws began when I had been out of work for more than a year and was down to my last 100 dollars. My wife had experience grooming dogs, and I had experience with pet sitting, so I decided to take a chance. I used that last 100 dollars to buy business cards, basic equipment, and shampoos. Then I went looking for customers. Whenever I saw someone with a dog, I introduced myself and gave them two cards, one for them and one for a friend. My family would laugh and say, There goes Dad again, chasing down dogs and clients. Within two weeks we had about ten clients. Within a year we had about 200, and within two years we had more than 400. Nearly twenty years later, Loving Paws is still family run. We believe pets deserve patience, kindness, safety, and personal attention. I also advocate for displaced families, people with disabilities, seniors, veterans, and others who need a voice. To me, Loving Paws is more than a business. It is a family story built from hard work, determination, and a willingness to take a chance.
