Professionally I've worked as a photographer (primarily photojournalism) and as an educator in an accredited photography school located in the state of Maryland. As a participant in my photography workshops you'll get a good understanding of the material being presented in addition to hands on practical experience. What you won't get are my judgments about your work, instead you'll be encouraged to formulate your own opinions about your work and then I'll offer you guidance based on your personal goals in photography.

What makes my business unique? I think it comes down to the mix of experience, care, and the way I approach every shoot. With 10 years behind the lens and over 100 shoots under my belt, I’ve seen a lot, and I know how to help people feel comfortable, even if they’re not used to being in front of a camera. I’m portrait trained, so I know the technical side, but I’ve also spent years capturing stories and milestones. I don't do stiff poses or overly perfect shots, for me it is all about making sure you walk away with photos that feel like you.

In the end, my goal is to capture your family in context - because when a place has meaning for you, it tells part of the story in a way that generic parks or other places just can't. Over the course of the session, we'll do everything from crazy games to intimate cuddles, the whole chaotic gang together, and smaller groups and individual portraits.
