Thinking that wedding photography should tell the story of the day, Jay likes to combine candid journalistic images with traditional portraits, and prefers to produce hardback coffee table books as the final piece to show the story. Jay was raised in coastal Georgia where he developed his love of the outdoors. He attended the University of Georgia and The Portfolio Center prior to starting Jay Thomas Photography in 1986. Jay's photography assignments became more complex over time and he started Jay Thomas Productions in 1995. Jay Thomas Productions handles all phases of production for advertising and wedding still photography, including Digital manipulation and output to proofs. Jay still enjoys outdoor activities and resides in Marietta, GA, with his wife Su and their children Grace, and Foster.
