I stand above the rest because I take an artistic approach to every photo I take. I am an artist first and foremost. Art is my life. I knew what I wanted to be when I was young, so after high school, I attended Western Kentucky University, where I studied graphics design and earned a degree. I painted, and drew cartoons and so much more. After all that, I discovered my love for photography. This opened a whole new door for my creativity. I started noticing things that surround me in so much detail. I began looking at things differently and more clearly. Before I snap each of my photos, I think about angle, background, foreground, color, shape, shadow and so much more. Then I put it all together. Not only that, a great photographer captures the emotion and character of each subject. I learned this by photographing animals in nature…. Like a fox taking in the early morning warm sun or an eagle feeding her young. I take that same approach when I photograph children and families. I take that same approach when I photograph pets of all kinds. I love what I do and my passion shows in my enthusiasm for the artistic side of photography.
